ABOUT COralGladesDECA
Coral Glades High School DECA is a large organization consisting of nine officers and upwards of 300 members, making up about 10 percent of the student body. Located in Coral Springs, Florida, the chapter participates in many activities around the city, including fundraisers and community outreach, city-sponsored events. As a chapter we offer marketing, fashion marketing and finance courses to our members.Two advisors administer the DECA program at Coral Glades and facilitate the chapter events our chapter has to offer.
OFFICERS
Our nine officers are Adriana Gray, President, Manuela Arango, Executive Vice President, Carlos Bello, Vice President of Membership, Carly Jolliff, Vice President of Communications, Christian Medina, Vice President of Activities, Jesse Wildman, Vice President of Public Relations, Elizabeth Arias, Vice President of Operations, Alexandra Nagales, Parliamentarian, and Amanda Campos, Historian.
WHAT IS ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
"Entrepreneurship is the process of starting a business or other organization. The entrepreneur develops a business model, acquires the human and other required resources, and is fully responsible for its success or failure."

IN DECA
GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK
DECA is a strong sponsor of GEW. The Art of Business is a partner of GEW and hopes to get recognized for the many activities they are conducting as part the entrepreneurship promotion chapter project.
WHAT IS A CHAPTER PROJECT?
By involving the entire chapter and the community, the spirit of the school and DECA grows and promotes unity of students and teachers.
WHY ENTREPRENEURSHIP?
The United States was built on entrepreneurship and being a country with free enterprise means that anyone can be an entrepreneur. However, without the business skills, less people will strive to have a business and the economy will suffer.
LAST EVENT
Our Personal Branding Contest was a success thanks to the involvment of Coral Glades High School marketing teacher, Mr. Drew Goldfinger. Three classes were able to participate in the DECA program at Coral Glades. We announced the winner on November 7, 2014.
